Breeze King pocket lighters

return to Evans index

Introduced during the mid 1950s, Evans Breeze King are flip-top lighters that feature a distinctive semi-automatic mechanism with integrated windguard. When the lid is closed, the pocket Breeze King looks very similar to Evan's "Sportsman" Flip Top lighters. Under the hood, the Breeze Kings have a press-down lever to ignite the wick in place of the Sportsman's manual thumb wheel. Pocket and table models were produced. (EB)
